Marcel Preston
Founder & Director
Marcel has 20 years of experience in the industry, including extensive experience as an audio engineer. He is your main point of contact when it comes to the vision & creation of your videos and will help you to discover your ideal clientele and will make sure that we are speaking directly to them in all of the videos we make for you. He is a passionate director and lead videographer who loves to tell your story.
Ruth Preston
Co-Founder & Creative Director
Ruth has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry including her time working for Entertainment One, Canada’s Largest Film and Television company as an office manager for 5 of their main locations around the world. You’ll meet her as she coordinates each project, from meetings to creating story boards and sets, and ensuring that your and Marcel’s vision for your videos comes to life right in front of your eyes.
Brendan Yannoulopoulos
Second Videographer, Editor & Lighting Grip
Brendan graduated from Algonquin College with his degree in photography & videography. He joined Lone Oak Cinema as an intern and after years of dedication, worked his way up to be a key videographer, lighting tech, editor and colour grader. He is full of creative ideas as well and we know he will continue to go far! You’ll see Brendan on set.
Merrique Richards
Marketing & Social Media Strategist
Merrique brings expertise in business administration and change management, delivering optimal results through strategic planning, research, and solution-driven approaches. A Telfer School of Management Executive MBA graduate, she is passionate about optimizing workflows and relationships. You’ll meet her if you include a marketing or social media strategy package in your videography plan.
Andrew VanBeek
Photographer & Headshots
Andrew has been providing commercial photography including advertising, magazine editorials, commercial, event and stock photography, headshots and more for the last 17 years in Ottawa, Montreal & Toronto. From multi-national companies, government agencies, all the way down to small local businesses, all projects are welcome and you will find a professional and friendly welcome from Andrew.
Caroline Carvalho
Hair & Makeup Lead Artist
Voted Ottawa’s People’s Choice Makeup Artist in the 2021 Ottawa Wedding Awards, Caroline is a highly skilled makeup artist and hairstylist, running both a mobile makeup studio and a stationary hair studio in Orleans. In 2023, she was honored to provide makeup services for foreign dignitaries and world leaders. You’ll meet Caroline or a member of her team on set, ensuring you look your best before filming.
